Drop Down Day

Today at school we had an opportunity to spend the whole day focusing on one particular subject. As a group we decided to choose media and concentrate on one scene in the music video. For this we decided to go to the quarry and film bits of Abby reaching the cage in the daylight. Because we had all day to shoot we spend around 3 hours getting these particular 20 seconds in many different angles and camera movements/shots. We decided to gather many different shot so we could have a selection to choose from when we decided what would make it into the final cut of the video. The aim of the shoot was to show the main protagonists connection to the cage and show the relevance of the cage in the music video, as from rough cut feedback this is what people wanted to see more of.

The drop down day was very useful in being able to have the time to be more creative with the shots and angles. We have already booked out the camera for the next drop down day as we are hoping to replicate the quality of work we produced for a second time.
